Jakarta EE Certification

Vidocq's Jakarta EE Core Profile 11 compatibility results — TCK versions, results and evidence.

Vidocq claims compatibility with Jakarta EE Core Profile 11, verified against the official Eclipse Foundation TCK (EFTL) binaries.

Vidocq Runtime 0.3.0 — Jakarta EE Core Profile 11

Product

Vidocq Runtime 0.3.0

Specification

Jakarta EE Core Profile 11

TCK

jakarta-core-profile-tck-11.0.0 (SHA-256 0357bfab7025972edb2bf50277b6b4206b499a2961bc94e783f34782cc4a9bda)

JDK

Temurin 25.0.4+7-LTS

OS

macOS 27.0 (26A5421a), Apple M5

Certifying run date

2026-08-31, against the released 0.3.0 Maven Central artifacts (io.vidocq.{vauban,champollion,cassini,chappe}:*:0.3.0)

Core Profile composite TCK

10/13 passed. The 3 not passing are unreachable on any JDK 25 implementation regardless of conformance — a Jakarta TCK-helper incompatibility with the documented StackWalker contract (Utils.getDescriptor() called without Option.RETAIN_CLASS_REFERENCE), not a Vidocq defect. The challenge was filed and is accepted by the TCK project: jakartaee/platform-tck#2730. The fix already exists upstream (merged January 2025) but has not yet shipped in an official Core Profile TCK release.

Constituent specification TCKs

Specification Result

Jakarta Annotations 3.0

Jakarta Contexts and Dependency Injection (Lite) 4.1 + Interceptors 2.2

774/774 passed

Jakarta Dependency Injection 2.0

Jakarta JSON Processing 2.1

179/179 (api) + 18/18 (pluggability) passed, TCK 2.1.1, 0 failures

Jakarta JSON Binding 3.0

295 run, 0 failures, 5 skipped

Jakarta RESTful Web Services 4.0

2670 run, 0 failures, 131 skipped

Jakarta Interceptors 2.2 has no standalone TCK — it is covered by the CDI TCK above.

Signature tests

All five constituent signature-test requirements are satisfied: Annotations, JSON-P, JSON-B, RESTful WS, and CDI 4.1 Lite (cdi-sigtest, 0 failures against cdi-api-jdk17.sig). There is no profile-level signature test — the Core Profile TCK defers to each constituent specification’s own signature test.

Verification method

All 7 EFTL binaries downloaded fresh from download.eclipse.org and verified before the certifying run:

  • SHA-256: 7/7 match.

  • GPG signature: 7/7 valid — 2 signed by the current Jakarta EE Specification Committee key (4C0C9898D7A2A593: Core Profile 11, RESTful WS 4.0.1), 5 by the previous committee key (ABE05725E77C2B44, since expired — expected for their earlier release dates: Annotations, CDI, Dependency Injection, JSON-P, JSON-B).
